Product Specialist

To help enable our next phase of growth, Proximity is seeking an experienced Product Specialist to join a talented group of sales and marketing professionals on our Growth Team. The Product Specialist will play a critical role on our team by owning product demos, sales, onboarding and becoming an expert in use of the Proximity platform.

Role Overview

What You’ll Do:

  • Support Growth Team goals and hold individual goals for pursuing leads, performing demos, and onboarding new customers
  • Own customer relationships from prospecting through onboarding, including outreach, follow-ups, and addressing product questions
  • Own all steps of the onboarding process and advise customers on platform functionality, best practices, and how to get the most out of Proximity software and hardware
  • Provide occasional support to existing customers by optimizing current platform use and recommending additional features and best practices
  • Continually expand knowledge of Proximity software, new features, and product releases
  • Demonstrate product functionality and communicate technical specifications accurately and completely
  • Research solutions, refer to product documentation and consult with team members to find answers when needed
  • Proactively assess, clarify, and validate customer needs on an ongoing basis
  • Participate in continuing education opportunities that will lead to relevant individual and team growth

Your Skills and Experience:

  • 3+ years experience in sales or customer support, preferably with a technology product
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to self-direct while working cooperatively as part of a team
  • Ability to take full ownership of tasks and proactively ask for guidance when needed
  • Proven record of successfully building client relationships
